The football game of the day took place in Tampa, as the Falcons looked to stay afloat in the playoff race, while the Bucs were trying to get one step closer to the playoffs. This football game was played like a playoff game. The Falcons scored first, as the Bucs committed a pass interference penalty. Michael Vick threw a touchdown pass to cash in on the gift. Why has Michael Vick been a cry baby lately? All I hear him do is complain about getting no respect.
The Bucs answered right back when they scored on a Chris Simms TD throw to even the game at 7 after one quarter of play

Michael Vick tried running with the football, but fumbled the football away, and the Bucs recovered. Chris Simms threw his second TD pass of the game to Mike Alstott. Atlanta needed to answer back, which they did when Vick threw his second TD pass of the game. But from that point on neither team was winging the football with success. Simms threw an interception, and the Falcons kicked a field to lead at halftime, 17-14.

The second half became the Cadillac Williams show, as the Bucs and Falcons decided to run the football more, and kill the clock. After a scoreless 3rd quarter, the Bucs tied the game with a field goal. Atlanta answered back when T.J. Duckett ran the football in, to give the Falcons a 24-17 late in the 4th quarter. The Bucs drove down the football field, and gave the football to their workhorse Cadillac Williams who tied the game up with a touchdown run. On to overtime.

The Bucs won the coin toss, but fumbled the football on the kickoff. The Falcons had a chip shot field to keep their playoff hopes alive. The kick was blocked. The Falcons looked defeated after that. Tampa drove down the field, mainly running the football. Then their special teams screwed up again, bad snap, bad hold, bad kick. Game on. This football game looked to be headed for a tie. Out of nowhere, Jim Mora answered a cell phone, what the hell is going on.
The Bucs were able to get the football in field goal range with 15 seconds left, and this time made the field goal. The Bucs are close to making the playoffs. The Falcons are out of the playoff picture all together.
