I’ll go out on a limb here and say, this is my favorite part of the football season. The championship football games are usually the most intense because you are so close to the Super Bowl, but a loss leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth all offseason. This year has some odd teams in the conference championship games. Last week was average for me in the football picks, and who knows what will happen this week.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Denver Broncos
The Steelers pulled off the upset of the football season last week, and now have to win in Denver to go to the Super Bowl. Denver did not impress me at all last week, as it seemed like New England lost the football game, more than Denver won it. I am not thrilled at the chance the Broncos going to the Super Bowl, are they an elite football team? No, but the Steelers aren’t good in AFC Championship games, and its hard to win on the road 3 weeks in a row.
Winner: Denver Broncos

Carolina Panthers vs Seattle Seahawks
Different conference, same story. Seattle was outplayed last week, yet somehow managed a win. The Panthers are the best football team out of the four remaining teams. Steve Smith playing at a level unheard of. Carolina was everyone’s trendy pick for the Super Bowl, and for the first time, it looks like everyone was right. I am worried about the Panthers running game, with DeShaun Foster out, how many yards can they get? With Seattle, it’s been a nice football season, but I don’t think I’ll be able to say “Seattle Seahawks, Super Bowl Champions” in my lifetime.
Winner: Carolina Panthers

Carolina vs Denver, is a weird Super Bowl.
