My record last week might have been able to get me a first round bye in the NFC. A lot of people are unhappy with how the playoff picture, but I’m not one of them. I like it when a lot of football teams are alive this late in the season. Who’s to say an 8-8 team in the NFC won’t make some noise in the playoffs? It’s been that kind of football season. Lot of elimination games this week, so this will be an exciting week of football. Christmas and football go hand in hand.

Last Week: 10-6
Season: 131-93

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers
Both of these football teams are alive in the NFC playoff picture. I think I would be great if Brett Favre made the playoffs one more time. The Vikings are hard to run on, but with a rookie quarterback in Lambeau Field a win is a lot to ask for.
Winner: Green Bay Packers

Kansas City Chiefs vs Oakland Raiders
Since their loss to the Browns, the Chiefs have not been the same football team. They have dumbed down their high flying offense, and are not in good shape in the AFC. The Raiders usually don’t play well at the end of bad seasons, so expect much of the same this year.
Winner: Kansas City Chiefs

Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have to be happy that they are even alive after their troubles this football season. They are playing well at the right time, but will it be enough to make the playoffs? Who knows. This should be a tough game, but I’ll go with the Steelers
Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers

Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons
The Panthers aren’t in good shape, and look like they don’t even want to make the playoffs. What is wrong with their defense? The Falcons should be able to run all over the Panthers
Winner: Atlanta Falcons

Chicago Bears vs Detriot Lions
The Bears have nothing to play for. Still, they don’t want to rest their guys, you can’t go into the playoffs with a month’s rest and expect to win. The Bears need to keep Rex Grossman’s confidence high going into the playoffs.
Winner: Chicago Bears

Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans
The Texans have never beat the Colts. Don’t expect them to in this football game. The Colts don’t want a repeat of last season, so they will play hard the next two games. They have to if they want to have a shot at home field advantage.
Winner: Indianapolis Colts

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Cleveland Browns
The Bucs gave the Bears all kinds of problems last week. Tim Rattay is capable of putting points on the scoreboard. The Browns need to find out who their quarterback will be next season. This could be a shoot-out.
Winner: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Washington Redskins vs St Louis Rams
The Redskins are out of the playoff picture, but are a very dangerous football team. The Rams are lucky to even be alive at this point, and the Redskins should be able to run the football. Jason Campbell is looking pretty good. That’s a good sign for Redskin fans.
Winner: Washington Redskins

New England Patriots vs Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jags play the good teams in the NFL tough. They are good at home, but Tom Brady wants the Patriots to be on a roll going into the playoffs. Who knows what to make of the Jags. I hope they don’t get in.
Winner: New England Patriots

New Orleans Saints vs New York Giants
The Giants are reeling after that big loss to the Eagles. Still, they are in good shape in the NFC, which might be a bad thing. They have been feeling the pressure ever since they lost to the Bears. The Saints are angry over losing last week and want to get a bye in the playoffs. The Giants could be in trouble with a loss.
Winner: New Orleans Saints

Tennessee Titans vs Buffalo Bills
Two of the most dangerous teams in the AFC face off to see who will stay alive. I can’t believe the Titans are still alive after that 0-5 start. Buffalo is a hard place to play in December. The Bills could be in good shape if they win.
Winner: Buffalo Bills

Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers
In the 4th quarter against the Seahawks, Alex Smith showed what he is capable of. The 49ers are still in the hunt for the NFC West crown, and they know it. The Cardinals are thinking about what might have been at this point. The 49ers could be a dangerous team if they make the playoffs.
Winner: San Francisco 49ers

San Diego Chargers vs Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks haven’t looked good their last two games. Now they are in a battle for the NFC West crown. They should have won it by now. The Chargers need to win to stay atop the AFC. Home field would be a big deal for the Chargers. I wonder what LaDainian is going to do in this football game.
Winner: San Diego (Super) Chargers

Cincinnati Bengals vs Denver Broncos
One of these teams has to lose (I doubt there will be a tie). The AFC playoff picture is a lot more wide open because one of these teams will lose. The Bengals don’t have to worry about Jay Cutler ripping them to shreds like Peyton Manning did. Still, I’ll go with the Broncos. It’s in Denver
Winner: Denver Broncos

Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys
The Eagles can win the NFC East if they win out. The Cowboys know this, and are going to have to nib this thing in the bud. Oh yeah, I’m tired of hearing about T.O. He should have a big game and everyone will be happy on Christmas.
Winner: Dallas Cowboys

New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins
The Jets are in good shape to make the playoffs. But, the Dolphins don’t think so. Even with nothing to play for, I’m sure the Dolphins will give the Jets are sorts of headaches. Jason Taylor has had a monster season. Teams love to play spoiler. What better day to spoil someone’s playoff hopes then Christmas.
Winner: Miami Dolphins

This blog is simply smashing. In my humble opinion of course. As this post is rather debatable I don’t think all your blog visitors are going to agree with it.
