Last week was a terrible week for me. It’s better to just forget about it and move on. Lot of intriguing matchups this week. In the AFC, the Titans can make a big statements against the Jags. It’s hard to believe, but a Titans win puts them one game out of the wild card. The Jets on the other hand, lost last week and need to rebound to stay in the playoff picture. In the NFC, well who knows about the NFC at this point.

Last Week: 6-10
Season: 121-87

San Francisco 49ers vs Seattle Seahawks
The 49ers are still alive, but 3 straight losses have put them on the verge of elimination. The Seahawks need to win to win the NFC West crown. They are mad after last week, and should have an easy time with the fading 49ers.
Winner: Seattle Seahawks

Dallas Cowboys vs Atlanta Falcons
The Cowboys had things going their way, until they faced the Saints. Now instead of getting a bye in the playoffs, the Cowboys are fighting to even win their division. Atlanta has the running game to give anyone problems in the NFC. It’s just a matter which Falcons team shows up.
Winner: Atlanta Falcons

Cleveland Browns vs Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens now are in a position to challenge for homefield advantage. The Browns didn’t show up for their only primetime game of the year, and it’s only going to get worse against the Ravens.
Winner: Baltimore Ravens

Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers
The Packers are still alive in the NFC playoff picture. The Lions, well they aren’t. The Lions will probably make this a close game, but in the end come up short. How many times do we need to see that this season?
Winner: Green Bay Packers

Houston Texans vs New England Patriots
The Patriots got their ass handed to them by the Dolphins. An angry Tom Brady is not a good thing to see if you are a Texans fan. The Patriots need to get their swagger back, and they will in this football game.
Winner: New England Patriots

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Chicago Bears
The Bears are on their way to home field advantage in the NFC. They can’t have a hiccup against the lowly Bucs. I guess Rex Grossman’s job is safe for now.
Winner: Chicago Bears

Washington Redskins vs New Orleans Saints
The Saints had their way with the Dallas Cowboys last week. They could be in for a little bit of a letdown. The Saints can clinch the NFC South with a win. I think they will.
Winner: New Orleans Saints

Miami Dolpins vs Buffalo Bills
This is an elimination game in the AFC. The Bills are tough at home. These AFC East games are so hard to pick, but its December and Buffalo usually plays well at home in December.
Winner: Buffalo Bills

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Carolina Panthers
Two teams on the bubble, that didn’t think they’d ever be in this position. The Steelers are on a roll, and the Panthers aren’t. The Panthers have been a major disappointment this football season. Both teams are banged up, but Willie Parker should have a good day on the ground.
Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers

New York Jets vs Minnesota Vikings
The Jets can’t stop the run. The Vikings are the best in the league at stopping the run. This is an interesting game. Minnesota can get right back in the NFC playoff picture with a win. It’s been a good season for the Jets, but last week was a bad loss at the wrong time.
Winner: Minnesota Vikings

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Tennessee Titans
The Jags made a big statement against the Colts last week. The Jags are now in the driver seat as far as making the playoffs. That isn’t a position that suits them. They have one win outside the state of Florida. Vince Young can put the Titans in the thick of the playoff picture with a win. He is fun to watch.
Winner: Tennessee Titans

Denver Broncos vs Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals have been playing well of late. I don’t know if it’s enough to save Dennis Green’s job, but things are looking good for 2007. The Broncos are ice cold, and they are falling out of the playoff picture. Did they think Jay Cutler was going to lead them to the Super Bowl this year?
Winner: Arizona Cardinals

St Louis Rams vs Oakland Raiders
This is a very winnable game for the Raiders. The Rams aren’t going anyway this season and they don’t like playing in the West Coast. I’ll still take the Rams though, as long as they run the football, they should win.
Winner: St Louis Rams

Philadelphia Eagles vs New York Giants
The Giants ended their losing streak, and now face a hot Eagles team. The Giants need this game because they already beat the Eagles this year, and a win would give them the all important tiebreaker. This should be a good game, but I’ll take the Giants. Someone has to emerge from the muddled NFC
Winner: New York Giants

Kansas City Chiefs vs San Diego Chargers
The Chiefs have lost two in a row and face the Chargers. The Chargers won the AFC West last week, now they need to win some games so they can have home field. This one isn’t going to be easy, their last loss was to the Chiefs. It’s in San Diego this time, which should be enough for the win.
Winner: San Diego Chargers

Cincinnati Bengals vs Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are in trouble of blowing this season. Granted, a win and they win the AFC South, but this is the time in the season where you have to get on a roll if you want to win the Super Bowl. The Colts now are fighting to get a first round bye. The Bengals are a very dangerous team to be playing right now. This one should be a shoot-out.
Winner: Indianapolis Colts
