Last week wasn’t the best of weeks for me. I don’t know what the problem is. Maybe I pick too many road teams. Anyway, in the NFL a lot of football teams are jockeying for playoff spots. With 4 teams at 6-6 in the NFC, that means the teams that are 5-7 still have a shot. In the AFC, five teams are 7-5. It should be fun watching what will happen the next few weeks.

Last Week: 8-8
Season: 115-77

Cleveland Browns vs Pittsburgh Steelers
The Browns had a great come from behind win last week against the Chiefs. The Steelers usually beat the Browns, but they are very banged up. I think Cleveland can get the monkey off their back this week.
Winner: Cleveland Browns

Minnesota Vikings vs Detroit Lions
I don’t like the idea of the Vikings switching quarterbacks this last in the season. They are still in the chase for a wild card spot. Even if they do play Brad Johnson, it probably won’t help them reach the playoffs. Is Brad Johnson washed up?
Winner: Detroit Lions

New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins playoff hopes took a major hit last week against the Jags. Tom Brady always has problems playing in Miami. The Dolphins defense looked bad last week, so Brady should play well.
Winner: New England Patriots

Indianapolis Colts vs Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jags give the Colts tough games, but in the end the Colts usually beat the Jags. The Colts will have to play hard down the stretch if they want to have home-field advantage in the playoffs.
Winner: Indianapolis Colts

Baltimore Ravens vs Kansas City Chiefs
The Ravens offense played awful against the Bengals. If Steve McNair plays like that to end the football season, the Ravens aren’t going anywhere in the playoffs. The Chiefs need this game bad after that loss to the Browns.
Winner: Kansas City Chiefs

Atlanta Falcons vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Michael Vick can become the first quarterback to rush for 1,000 yards. I don’t think he’ll get it this week, but the Falcons should be able to run all over the Bucs.
Winner: Atlanta Falcons

Tennessee Titans vs Houston Texans
The Titans are on fire and they go back to their old home to play the Texans. The Texans won last week with -5 passing yards. That is not going to cut it against the Titans
Winner: Tennessee Titans

Oakland Raiders vs Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals can creep back up near the lead in the AFC North. If they win the division, look out for the Bengals in the playoffs. The Raiders defense has been playing well this season, but the Bengals should win this football game by a lot.
Winner: Cincinnati Bengals

Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins
The Eagles are back in the hunt in the NFC playoff picture. Now they begin their 3 game road trip. They might overlook the Redskins. The Redskins have been playing better with Jason Campbell.
Winner: Washington Redskins

New York Giants vs Carolina Panthers
Both teams are going the wrong way right now. Eli Manning and Jake Delhomme have been awful of late. Still, both teams are in good shape when it comes to the wild card spots in the NFC. Both teams need to find a grove. I’ll say the Panthers win this one at home.
Winner: Carolina Panthers

Green Bay Packers vs San Francisco 49ers
The Packers defense has been bad the last month. The 49ers are still in the race for the wild card and they have more offensive weapons then the Packers do at this point.
Winner: San Francisco 49ers

Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals have been playing a lot better since Matt Leinart became the starting quarterback. The Seahawks can get back to the elite in the NFC with a few wins. They might be able to get on a roll the next few games
Winner: Seattle Seahawks

Buffalo Bills vs New York Jets
If J.P. Losman doesn’t have turnovers, the Bills can win this game. The Jets might need a little coming back to Earth. The Jets in the playoff picture? And in good shape? I think the Bills can pull the upset.
Winner: Buffalo Bills

Denver Broncos vs San Diego Chargers
The move to put Jay Cutler in at quarterback could be the end of the Broncos 2006 playoff hopes. How many rookies can come in and lead a team on a Super Bowl run? The Chargers have been on fire the last few weeks, look for that to continue.
Winner: San Diego Chargers

New Orleans Saints vs Dallas Cowboys
This is an important football game in the NFC. The winner will be in good shape for the 2nd seed in the NFC. With the Bears struggling, the 2nd seed could be the road to the Super Bowl. Tony Romo has been playing very well, and the Saints defense has had problems the last month.
Winner: Dallas Cowboys

Chicago Bears vs St Louis Rams
The Bears won their division last week, but the major story is how bad Rex Grossman is playing. The Bears might need to make the move soon and bench Rex. The Rams are still in the hunt for a wild card spot, but Marc Bulger could be in for a world of hurt against the Bears defense.
Winner: Chicago Bears
